Synergy Speech Practice is situated in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. We provide in person sessions or online therapy nationally and internationally. With over 26 years experience, our principal Kristy Rhoades, has a great amount knowledge and skill to bring to each client.
Kristy works from medical, developmental and mental health frameworks on communication and interaction giving a wholistic approach to communication challenges.

Hi, I’m Kristy.
My work experience of the past 26 years spans hospital, school, mental health and private practice settings. I use medical, developmental and psychological frameworks to understand and treat communication challenges in children and adults.
In-Person & Remote Options
Our rooms are conveniently located in Burleigh Heads Medical Centre. It is a comfortable and non-judgemental space to work on your communication abilities. Appointments are also available via Telehealth, so wherever you are, you can still access online Speech Pathology services that’s customised for you!

GP Referral
Synergy Speech Pathology is registered with Medicare. You do not need a referral to see a Speech Pathologist, although your GP may refer you under a Medicare scheme that can provide rebates.
NDIS
Synergy Speech Pathology is a NDIS Provider for self-managed and plan-managed funding.
Private Health Insurance
A rebate may apply through your private health fund with the appropriate level of extras cover. Rebates will vary between funds. Check with you fund to see if you are covered for Speech Pathology assessment and treatment.
